In Canada, the top accounting program for small businesses is the Intuit Quickbooks. It is available from basic to premiere editions. However, many users would prefer Peachtree Software because it is easy to use and less complicated.

In Canada, there is a company that is called Freshbooks. The company is really great for creating online invoicing for your companies needs.
Of course, your accounting can be stored on-line as well.

I think the Quickbooks is the top accounting software for small business in the US also.
