Indeed. social networks spare you from the hassles of printing and distributing the flyers plus it reaches more people more than you know. And you don't spend either that much.

Well that depends what social networks we are talking about as from what I hear Facebook charges out the nose unless you are limiting your advertising criteria to a certain network or certain city, etc.

I had even thought about the door to door marketing, but sat down and really thought about it.  If there was a flyer on my door, for someone to come into my home and look at every single item I own, I WOULDN'T CALL IT.  For some reason, that doesn't seem professional to me.  People have to trust you and I think the advertising needs to be done in a way that THEY choose to call you, not have to clean up trash from their mail and doors.  I know not everyone thinks this way, but i get tired of all the crap that gets hung on my door.  It seems cheap and for this type of business, you don't want to seem cheap or desperate.

Just my opinion... don't everyone chew my head off at once.      LOL

Shelly

I'm with you Shelly,

Door hangers are fine for the local pizza shop.  But not a Professional Home Inventory Service.

I think professional businesses should do a more professional way of advertising so they can be more respected and their first view by a customer and judgment by a customer is something good instead of just a flyer in which could turn a customer off. If it's you in person that presents your business you are more than likely going to get better feedback.
