Hi everyone my name is Eric and I am from Staten Island NY. I have been thinking about getting into Home Inventory and I have been reading this forum etc. I presently do Home Security Systems such as burglar alarms and cameras but I was thinking about adding home inventory to my business. What is your take? Do you think it is a smart move to add or would it be better to do it on its own as a different business. Thanks again.

since your home security biz would be complimented nicely by inventory, i would just do it all together.  that way you can price it as a package and maybe save the client some money.  i have two businesses under the same LLC but they are different in terms of service so we keep them separate.  also, both of your businesses could be covered under the same insurance policy...at least that's the way we do it here in Good Old Rocky Top........Go Vols!

Having Home Inventory as an add-on business with your Home Security sounds really good. One you're already there. So why not.

I can't think of a more natural service pairing.

Is anyone else in your area offering the same arrangements?   If not, you may have the market cornered for a good 12 months!

That seems to be a good idea Eric. My advice is yes, add that up to your business.

Yes that would be a very good idea. It goes with your original business, security that is so the combination of the two has a large possibility to boom. Good luck with you friend.

Great Idea! It goes along with the your current business. You can add up home inventory as a package since it is of the same nature. I think you business will really be on the market especially with this home inventory package.

Yes of course! It is a brilliant idea to offer it as package. The security you offer is complete and is more advance. If damage is inevitable then there is still hope for your clients to restore their possessions.
